Is anyone having overload problems with there Garrett GTI 1500 and the 4.5" coil

Ever since I got my Garrett GTI 1500, I have been trying to detect can dumps. But I can't get the job don very well, because my scorcher 4.5" coil keeps overloading when it gets close to a can. It will overload on a crowncap at 1" above, and 3" above a 4" flatten ten can. My GTA 1000 and it crossfire 4.5" coil does a good job, no overloads. I sent my scorcher 4.5" coil back to Garrett and they tested it and found no problems. So if anyone has the same problem let me know.

Uh...I don't know quite what your problem is? I like to know when a hot signal is a squished aluminum or tin can. Are you purposly hunting tin cans? I guess I just don't understand? Monty

Aside from lowering the sensitivity some more, it might just be a hot coil that uses the sens. to it's best advantage which is against yours. My Scorcher does the same with my 1500. Large objects will do that.
