    What a save!!!

Went to the beach today with my AT PRO, when I got there I was cleaning out the trash items in my pouch from the weekend soccer field hunt. I pulled out what I thought was a brass washer and looked it over before tossing it in the bin and low and behold it turned out to be a drilled, 1854 copper penny from the Bank of Upper Canada. Pays to look before you toss.
Just for the record I am new to this dirt diving, had my pro now for about a month and this is my first real good land find. I am loving this dirt diving, wish I was doing this a long time ago.

Interesting......what are the chances of finding one that was probably used as a washer or the beginnings of a coin ring.
