yes.....the concentric is better for IDing bottle caps, it's easier to pinpoint with, but not as selective for picking out targets in trash. In fact, it's not the best coil to use in trash at all. In theory, it should get equal depth in not-too-mineralized soil. The best coil I have for hunting sports fields.
