What a great day it was. It got up to +10c/+50F which broke some new temperature records. maybe there really is something to global warming? The law which states "A SPOT IS NEVER REALLY HUNTED OUT" prevailed. I hunted in the woods for a couple of hours and worked up a good sweat. I found a small cache of 28 pennies buried underneath a tree, a brass piece off what might have been a trumpet and a couple of forks near some old canning jar lids.....probably an old picnic site.

One of the forks was silver, so I cut, whacked, bent, swore a couple of times and polished up a nice signet spoon (fork) ring. it's been a while since I dug up some silver cutlery....but it's out there.

Below is a pic of the brass end off a trumpet. It appears to have a few years on it and some nice ornate designs.
