Garrett Pro Pointer problem

I just got a Pro Pointer with my new MD, I am very impressed with it and wouldn't want to detect without it. A few times it seems to go crazy though, beeping somewhat erratic even when held up in tha air. I have turned it off and back on and it clears up. Is this normal?

Could be caused by a low battery or interferance from your detector.

Agree Bad Battery, If changing, and it doesn't fix the Problem Send It back for A Replacement!!!! Chug

Garrett's customer service is top notch. Give them a call and explain the problem, they'll offer a solution and/or ask that you send it in. It'll take longer for shipping than Garrett will keep it for service. At least that was my experence. 4 days there, 3 days service and 2 days back... (I think Fed-EX lost it at one of their hubs resulting in the 4 day shipping it to Garrett.)

Hi /low tone suggests the battery is low. Erratic beeping can be multiple things, it's best to send it in if you've changed the battery. Garrett turns them around in about a week. If it beeps when you press it hard into the ground, make sure you have a small rubber or foam piece in the battery cap, that helps push the battery down to a tight contact.
