found out last night that the battery packs for the at pro are longer than the ones for older {550, 1350,1500,2500} models.thought i was going through battery's pretty quick,so i asked my buddy if he had the same problem with his.then he told me the older packs were shorter and wouldn't make good contact leading you to believe the battery's are draining quicker.

I picked up a spare for mine for only a few bucks. I keep it loaded and with me when hunting so I wont be fumbling around trying to load more batteries out in the field. (That is how I broke my first batter pack.

Yes, the At Pro battery pack is about 1/8 inch longer, so if you use the older style, it will "bang around" in the compartment. The older one still works, but the newer one fits more tightly.
