I have 2 Garrett pro pointers and both are acting up , they will just start beeping for no reason. When I am digging a target and lay them down on the ground they will start and even when I pick them up it will just keep on beeping, if I shut them off it will fix it but the older one is getting worse to where shuting it off will not help. Anybody else have this problem?

Good info, Jeff! On mine, it is usually an indication that the battery is just starting to get low. another 4-6 hours of use and it goes into the hi-lo tone of a dead battery. The missing foam piece can also make your Pro Pointer alert when pressing the tip hard into the ground.

I get the alert when I am pressing hard into the dirt. Can you be more specific on what foam piece you are referring to?:icon_scratch:
You're not referring to the one inside of the battery cap are you?

when pressed to hard on the tip...

I never knew about that huge piece of foam under the cap.
