should be no problem as long as you keep the control box dry
and don't have extreme cold temps, for long periods of time.

snow is just colder water

Detectors used in the cold will sometimes not behave right and this means the cold has affected the batteries.

I use mine in extreme cold, and it works just fine! You may want to attach a hand warmer to it though.

Thanks everyone. Just been out MD in the snow the good thing about it was you can see where you've searched
