The At Pro is different from the AT Gold, they operate on different frequencies and have a few differences in features. Both are good coin, jewelry and relic machines. The AT Gold is more sensitive to sub gram gold and micro gold jewelry -it's not recommended for use in salt water. The At Pro will work in saltwater.

The AT PRO will work well at only some saltwater beaches, it being only a single freq MD. Some beaches have different concentrations of Salt and Black sand concentrations even within a few feet to cause them to become unstable unlike Minelabs and other mulity freq detectors.
