I don,t want a scratched screen or sand between the buttons ,

so i made this case with removable screen, if it is damaged, I only need to replace the screen and not the whole cover.

Grtz Ron

Very nice. I need to do something like that for my AT Gold.

My other hobby is leatherworking , the holder is also made by myself.
works great , when i dig a hole , i always put the at-pro on the ground near the hole , than i easily can use the pro-pointer

Very nice cover Dutch-man.

I'll bet having the ProPointer on the back of the machine under your elbow really helps balance out the weight of the stock coil of the AT-Pro.
I have thought of doing that but never made it a reality like you did.

You might want to make a sun visor for it so you don't get too much reflection on the screen. On mine I just added the soft side of Velcro around the edges of the cover. Then make a 2-12" strip from the material you made the cover with. Add the other side of Velcro and just wrap it to the three sides of the screen cover.

If you want to add a little drop protection, go to a craft store and pick up a sheet of this foam stuff with a glue backing on it. It comes in sheets of 8.5x11 and feels like a mouse pad or wetsuit material. Then just cut it to the inside dimensions if your cover and just peel and stick.

The balance is good , you do not notice the extra weight of the pro-pointer

Good advice , i,m gonna make an slightly darker screen for the sunny days ,than I can change them if necessary.

Thanks en Grtz , Ron

Ron,
How did you make those support legs to rest the detector on?
Do they get in the way when swinging the detector.
Any close ups of that set-up?

Thanks bud

Are you going to take orders for the covers? (I hope I hope I hope) lol

Hallo Frank , the answer to your question is yes , but I have no experience in selling and sending to the States or other countries.
I think the shipping costs are more than the price of the cover , I will first just find out what the costs are.

Thanks and Grtz , Ron

Nice cover, the shipping will cost a bundle. I ordered a cover from Milspec in camo for my AT Pro, Van said it should be here next week, I'll let you know how it works out. I don't want the body to get more scratched up then it already is. Hey I use it...
