I'm referring to the Energizer AA type generally used in cameras, gps, and other devises. Does any here use them? What are your results? Battery life, etc.

I use them for whatever reason crossed my mind I took the batteries out that came in my pro they weren't dead I was just thinkin that I don't really look at my battery meter & would hate to be on a nice hunt & all of a sudden lost power mainly switched cuz they said they were made for high powered devices & last like 9 times longer I got 6 more hours so far not even a blink or anything no nothing lost in performance wise aswell so I'd recommend them more power longer hunt

I use them in the winter, as they work well in extreme cold, unlike alkalines or other rechargeables.

They work just fine ...make sure you have some extra around those sneaky lithiums go for along time but when the battery finaly goes dead it doesnt drop down in bars slow it just goes from full to dead

I think I might have figured it out. Use lithium batteries and you reduce the life of your detector. Who profits from this? Garrett replaces a few then the warranty's run out. Maybe those people pushing lithium batteries work for Garrett?
