Hi,
I have an extra battery pack for the AT pro. I plan to carry when detecting. Well I put a set of fresh batteries in it and put it in my pocket with my change in it. Well in about 5 minutes my pocket was burning hot and I have a big red welt on my leg. Yep the change shorted out the pack. The batteries were to hot to handle. Lesson learned.......GRiley

I too have done this in the past..
A little electrical tape over the contacts and you're good to go.

I should have also added... If you're not comfortable with electrical tape, some 9volts come with caps on them, usually when purchased in bulk boxes but you can probably buy them separately. This is what I use now and they fit perfectly. I cap them and put a piece of elec. tape over the cap to ensure it stays on. Yes this may seem like overkill but I'm a bit anal about these things.:dontknow:
