I wouldn't glue it onto the MD! Make the notch a little bigger, and use a short piece of PVC pipe cut in half that fits the shaft. Glue it in the bottom of the notch, you could then use a couple of tie wraps,or small hose clamps to hold it on to the MD.

Nice idea

No,no no
Not going to glue it to the shaft! LOL
Have an idea with PVC like you said RK but I don't think glue
will stick to the PVC to good no?

And yes it'll be water proof for sure...

Just got back from Home Depot...
See where I'm going with this? I'll weigh it all when done to how much weight
it is going to add but I don't see a problem. The weight doesn't bother me
especially with the small coil but even with the big one it isn't that bad.... Yet! LOL

Well here it is about 99.9% done!
I'm only using electrical tape to hold it to the shaft for now but
I can't believe how rigid it is just with the tape! I really don't want
to use hose clamps cause it'll look to Gaudy ya know?
I'll just leave the tape for now and see how I like it. Feels good though!
That's Velcro in the pic. Was going to use it but didn't work...

No problem! That looks awesome by the way! If I hadn't already gotten my stand I'd make one just like that. Congrats!
