Been wanting one for a long time (can't afford the pro right now) and saw one on eBay that came with a whole bunch of stuff including 2 coils ( two books, DVD, Garrett bag, rain cover, head phones, manual) and I won the auction for $212.50!!!!! I'm so excited! Wanted to tell someone but my husbands asleep (works nights) so thought I would post it here, lol Now I have to figure out where to take it! So excited though! Is the pin pointer on the machine good or would I need to get one? Thanks!!!!!! :hello2::hello2::hello2:

Congrats on your new machine. Its a decent MD and you should find plenty with it. As for the pin pointing, it has a built in pin point function, but i recommend purchasing a pro pointer as well. Makes target recovery much faster.

Congrats! I'm so happy for you!

But, like Jay said you can pinpoint with the machine but after you dig your plug
a hand held pin pointer will make finding your target much faster than running
your fingers through the dirt trying to feel for it. But if money is tight right now
you can get by without one for a while but they do find your target so much faster!
Less frustration...

Pete

Thanks everyone! Been so happy all day, lol Can't wait till I can use it. The only metal detector I have tried was a couple of years ago and that was the bounty hunter ex. Found a few small things with it but nothing "great". I know the 250 is much better then that, lol Anyone from the Houston area?
