I noticed on my last hunt that it didn't seem to get the depth that it usually does making recovery take longer. I know I should probably just change the battery. It is the one that came with it so it might be old. Until then I thought I had read something about tuning it to make it work better by sliding a coin on it or something. If anyone knows what I am talking about can you fill me in? Thanks

Its s great little trick I myself use it quite a bit, that will get u more depth now if ur out hunting & u cant locate ur ítem in the hole if the things goin nuts while its goin nuts in the whole quickly turn it off then back on that will detune it a little & u should b able to have more luck in the whole better actual pinpointing then when ur done findin it just do what u ususlly do turn it off untill next ítem & when u turn it back on itll b back to normal good luck buddy

I went through the same thing when I first bought my pointer. The battery did wonders once I changed it. My 1st battery last like 2 months. I sometimes have to detune it but not often.

My 350 came with Energizers, but the Pointer came with a cheap Eveready 9 volt. Maybe I should change that battery to an Alkaline type. It still works, but I doubt it will have much life left.

As far as depth of the Pro Pointer, I thought it was only a few inches at best? When I turn on my pointer, it gets turned on away from any metal. Then sometimes I test it on my watch to see if its working correctly. Usually about 2.5 to 3 inches it starts sounding off.
