Iron separation on AT Pro

I have had my AT pro for about 6 months and have found some good stuff. But I am having a lot of trouble in iron infested areas. I tested a minie ball today by placing an iron nail next to it very close. My detector only read iron in pro mode all metal. I also put the minie ball on top of a 1" x 3" iron bracket and only read iron on the detector. I think im going to start digging all targets. Also I get vey deep iron signals and only about 8-10 inches on lead bullets. I have dug horseshoes at about 2.5 feet deep. Is this normal? I can only separate lead and iron when atleast 3 " apart. Using 8.5 x 11" coil.

Use the 5x8 coil

Does the 5x8 improve target id on stacked targets. Iron over coin or coin over large iron? If so its on my wish list.

Yes makes it loads easier to differentiate different signals million times better than stock coil
