I was out with my new Garrett Ace 250 and was wondering why i get hits on the silver end of the scale and when i dig them up it is old nails? I go back over the holes and plug and nothing comes up. So i know there is nothing else left i am missing. am i doing something wrong and just a dumb ass? Please send me any comments you may have. But i did find a nice ww2 button today in a shallow creek bed. i posted it in the todays finds forum.

Nope. Your not a dumb ass. Lol. Nails, large iron, alum cans and a lot of other items ring up as silver some times. You have to get used to the smallest iron and junk tones and learn to size the target to decide what to dig. Patience and practice logging hours and learning the machine is the only remedy. You will get it!

Ty for your input. I guess I just have to get used to the ace 250. I had whites detectors before this one. And wanted something newer.
