Hi Everyone,

Ok, this isn't a big issue but has become somewhat of a personal running joke.

For some reason, rust metal and rusty nails will ring up very high (above 95) on my AT Pro.

I thought perhaps it had something to do with galvanized metal. But, it seems pretty much that certain rusty metal will do this. (Iron discrim at 40 with iron audio off.)

Any thoughts why rusty nails will ring so high?

Thanks,

Patrick

Its the rust, its called masking a object. Any items with rust will most of the time ring silver or higher on vdi. Ive even found a ture under the sand where the steelbelts started rusting and it gave me pure silver vdi...i thought i discovered some silver bars haha

Its difficult for the vlfs to discrim on masked objects.
