I thought I should add this to the Garrett section for people wondering if the AT Pro works in salt water
It was a beautiful day at low tide. Got two rings and a diamond ear ring. My car alarm remote got soaked an died so what I found may cover the cost for a new one.

It works good here in Miami but when I took it to PR it went nuts on the West side of PR at Rincon beach. Constant chatter maybe because there is an old Nuke plant near by.

Try putting the remote in a bag of rice

Thanks opee, I did and just changed the rice again hoping for the best.

It cost $164.00 for the new remote. It's a Clifford that has the LCD screen with feed back for arming, disarming, and alarm audio you I can hear it on my night stand.

Very little black sand in Miami, black sand is most likely what caused your trouble in PR....

I read something about using powered milk wrapped in a paper towel and put it in a jar with it cover. Or a silicate package that you can get at a craft store in a jar also.
