I have actually talked to my buddy about checking on our machines, but never did. I would think it would be in the mid -60's-70's? But a solid target.

But things read funny...I dug a Walker once that read like a quarter at first...and I cant even count the times I get a good High dime, Low Quarter signal and out pops a memorial..lol

What size gold coin, in what denomination? How deep? What kind of soil conditions? What size and type of coil? What machine settings, especially sensitivity? Pro mode or std mode? What type of scrim settings? What about coil sweep speed? Dont even worry about air tests. Heck, you never find gold coins in the air.
