Any advice appreciated

I tried to talk a friend of mine into a AT Pro but he ended up getting an ace 250 to start out with.
He would like me to hook up with him and show him a few tips as he has not detected before. The problem is I have only ever used the sovereign gt and know nothing of Garret's.
Any obvious things I should point out to him with this machine?
