Hi All

Newbie - (although I found 7 clad totalling .40 the one day out before the ground froze) :)

Talk to me about pennies please? - been testing in the basement.

New Pennies show up as "pennies" - e.g a 2014 union shield
Lincoln Pennies - e.g 1971, 1979 used for my test
Wheaties - e.g 1944 and a 1953D ised for test.

The Lincolns and Wheaties show up as "dime/quarters" while the new pennies show as "pennies".

Am I missing a configuration somewhere? Calibration?

Settings = Medium Sensitivity and in coin mode.

All else works as expected nicely.

Thanks

Nope you got it. The older pennies (pre 82) are made of mostly copper. Thats why they ring up higher. Its a good way to avoid zinc pennies if you are just coin shooting. The only problem with that is you will miss other good stuff that reads the same as zinc.
