If you want to find more then try zero discrimination before you use all metal. All metal is great but is best reserved for clean sites. It goes very deep and will drive you bonkers if there is any trash at all....and I mean any trash....down to 14-15 inches. I've found very tiny pieces of metal that my pinpointer wont even detect.

Southwest Park_edited-1.jpg Ring INDIA_edited-1.jpg Another ring with INDIA inside.
Went back to the same park as the first post. Try all metal but mosty used the coin setting. Found some coins 4" to 5" down the rest were 1" to 2"
Got the senativey turn up. The darker coins were deeper.

gabbyhayes I'll try the zero discrimintion next time I go out. Were getting alot of rain.:BangHead:

I have found the exact same ring up here last year.
Blows me away to think that two different people lost a ring ...and both were found by metal detectors....thousands of miles apart.
My ring also says india inside.

Do you have a Garrett 2500

Both rings with INDIA on them were found in the same park.

Yes the GTI2500 was my first detector about 8 years ago. Doesn't get used as much anymore, though I did purchase 3 coils on another forum so I plan to use it a little more this year. Season here is just starting as winter is almost done. The ground is still either frozen or mucky so if we don't get anymore snow I should be swinging in about a week.

2500 is a great machine and one I regret selling years ago.

Set right and in pinpoint with 15 coil... can achieve great depths.
