There are many fakes out there. I've even seen them being sold on craigslist and some are very convincing copies. Anyone considering buying any Garrett Product not being sold by a registered dealer should get the serial number and call Garrett and verify the serial number. Garrett does answer their phones and they are more then happy to verify serial numbers.

They can print the same serial numbers on the sticker just as easy as they can make the PP
