New Garrett detector

Has anyone else seen the press release (or leak?) that a new Garrett detector, the ACE 400 is soon to be released? They don't have anything on their website, but I have started seeing talk about it. If you have heard of it, what have you heard?

Seams bogus to me..

I have seen a lot fake detector "releases", and this doesnt have the same feel. I'm basing this on more than just the pretty picture, but I want to hear what anyone else has heard

No more Aces!!! 150,250,350, is enough entry level detectors. 400? I doubt it. Why not a 450? Please Garrett no more Aces!!!

Anyone see this yet for the 250,350 and euro ace models. A water proof box that supposedly costs $100. I just found this. Can you get one from Garrett??

Commercially advertised it looks like. $100 but I can't find where to purchase one. Maybe they haven't started selling yet.

Apparently made out of polycarbonate and can withstand a car driving over it.

Yes that box is available to purchase. I conversed with the builder via email before Christmas- as I have a 350 as well.. but at $100+ it prices itself out of the market as far as I am concerned.

Yea- you get to go in water.. but you still can't ground balance or target ID so the money is better spent towards a used AT Pro.
