Got my brand new AT Pro Diggers Special yesterday and was testing out the functions and familiarizing myself with the subtle differences in alerts (between std and pro). Found this in my backyard so now I can start paying the machine off!

All joking aside, this is a great machine. Very happy with the purchase.

Congrats on your purchase Jadocs - once you learn the ATP functions your treasures will increase - one fantastic machine for the $. Put yourself in a coin - pull tabs - square tabs - jewelry and shreaded aluminum can slaw garden at various depths and practice in the differnt modes. Anyway I wish you many great finds while out dirt fishing.

Be very sensitive to the tones and after awhile you can hunt in any mode you want. Even with a faint tone you will be able to know what it is. Believe it or not I could tell what every coin was before i dug it and more than 90% of the time I could tell if it was ringing on a tab or can.

I paid for my ATP in four months of finds

Spent a little time this afternoon digging with my sons. They used my old Whites Classic II while I played with my AT. I've come to the conclusion that I need to pick up a land shark or a Garrett retriever (pick axe). Found these two things about 15" deep in some really hard clay/rocks. One is a solid brass WB padlock (feels like it weighs about 2.5lbs) that is inscribed and was able to trace it back to a private airfield located in the area. The other find ...I have no idea what it is. Any ideas? Both targets gave solid high tones on the AT Pro.
