This is a short one minute video clip about a guy who metal detects every day, weather providing. He water hunts, and makes some terrific recent finds. The guy has what many of us would consider a "dream job."

Yeah, If I didn't have a family, a nice car, boat, house, wasn't saving towards any retirement, no job or work commitment, getting help from Mom, and add in all the other things I seem to have accumulated over the years...

I could probably find enough to 'make a living' as well.

If I lived with MOM I could probably afford to do that every day as well. But finding fishing lures and go pro's isn't going to pay my rent :)

Funny I have a couple friends who paid cash for houses that clear 4 million Euro, and all they did and do is MD.

You have to get on the treasure and stay on the treasure.

If I didn't have a house payment, a car payment and two kids to put thru college, I would do nothing but fly fish and metal detect.

There was always something attractive about the care-free life of a beach bum. I think if I ever come back through this world again, I just might try that!

Unfortunately the scrap value of gold isn't all that high. I think your average early 19th century half cent or large cent in good dug condition is worth more. Or just about any Confederate button.

You really think large cents and CCW buttons are worth more than gold?

Hi austin; YUP, Smokey is right. Certain dates are worth tidy sums. I know. I live in Mass. Colonial everywhere here. We wait for the farmers to plow the fields and we DREAM of the goodies we'll be getting. Just takes patience. PEACE:RONB

while doing some research on my "Beach Hunting books, I certainly came across more than a few experienced US beach hunters who found thousands of dollars in gold jewelry each month. But it does help to live near a popular US ocean beach!

I dug a confederate script I infantry button up here in NW Ohio a few months ago I wonder what it's worth and how did it end up way up here where no battles were fought.
