I Meant Gti2500. This seems like a great detector. I guess my question should be would you pick the 2500 over the Pro if waterproof wasn't an issue ?

At pro all day long. I own the At Pro and had a gti 2500, both with several coils. Sold the gti.

I have both the AT Pro and The Makro Racer 2. The Racer 2 in my opinion is better for all around detecting and is far superior on salt water beaches if that's part of your criteria. It's not submersible like the AT Pro though. Read Terry Soloman's fantastic review, and you should have no trouble deciding. A friend of mine has the Gti 2500. To me it looks bulky and outdated and cluttered with stuff you don't need, and honestly that thing is flippin ugly!
