That's even worse!:protest: Standing in frozen ice not moving is worse then detecting in the cold. At least when you metal detect......you exercise and warm up a little.

28 degrees at sunrise here, warmed up to 38. Went out and used a small pick to get into the ground. Frozen down about 2-3".

Well, time to research some of those old relics in the collection and catalog them.

And what's the freezing doing to the targets in the ground? Are they going deeper or shallower before early spring comes? What's happening to the ground mineralization?
