I never used the stock coil, I've used the NEL Sharpshooter since day one. All of my 2017 finds are with the NEL Sharpshooter in wooded areas. You'll like it as much as I do.

I wanted to wait until I got a couple of hunts under my belt before I updated my post. My first impression was it was much smaller and lighter than the stock coil. Using it this was proved out by much less strain on your wrist and arm to use for several hours. The target separation and pinpointing was very good. I really couldn't tell any difference than the stock coil on depth. I had a little chatter when using full sensitivity but dropping it a couple of notches solved that and the hits were very solid. All in all I think I would recommend this coil as an upgrade for your metal detector.
