Yes I twisted the in the wrong direction. I called Garrett today to order a new coil bolt. I talked to Rusty and he said they would replace it for free. Yeah! :headbang:

I was putting batteries in last spring in the AT PRO and ooops....battery pack fell out and broke. I called Garrett to pay for s new one and they refused....insisted they send me one for free. When I opened thd package (express delivery) I was shocked.....they sent me 2. One thing I had heard about Garrett is exceptional customer service....so far I am impressed

They seem to be very good about replacing the small stuff on their bread and butter detectors, but I’ve read on another forum that they have big quality problems on the coil wire material used on the ATX coils deteriorating quickly.

Which is a shame since those detectors are a couple thousand, and a replacement coil costs what a good clean used AT Pro runs.
