Never seen a cover for the 8. The sea hunter stock coil has a pretty thick appoxy coating. It’ll take you a while to wear that coil through. If you don’t scrub the heck out of it, should last you a long time without a cover. Lots of guys I see using them don’t even put a cover on the small coil. You’re duck tape will wear off quick in the water and sand and will just look ugly after a short time. I would suggest if you really want a cover, make something from a lid or frisbee type thing cut out and zip tie around the coil.

Thanks Irish! Since I’m in my seventies I’m guessing the coil will outlast me lol.....hh!

I use the 8 inch mono cover from Garrett.Kellyco has them. It doesn't snap on and stay on like the 10 x 14 coil cover. I drilled some holes and got some colored zip ties 15428460691293745720566366257038.jpg
