Just finished 6 days in the hip & knee replacement ward. I needed a good fix, so I grabbed my GTI 2500 and a screwdriver and hunted about 5 hours in some heavily penny infested areas. As is usually the case.....you dig penny signals, you get surprises. You don't dig pennies, you lose. :)

Got some more tokens...the "CENTERFOLD PEEPS" is a new one to add to my token collection. The other one is one of those common little wizards.....got plenty of them. First ring was a real loser :( ....very ugly, cheap and missing whatever was there. Next ring was I believe a silver one. I did a little dremel magic and the signet ring came out looking not bad.

Finally, the silver dimes and the Wheats. Both are getting harder to find.

Thanks for looking and good luck with your next hunt. :V)

John,

Are Canadian coins worth as much as American. How far back is considered old and rare in Canada?

Thanks,
Fishstank

The coins are at par. Everything else is subject to the US dollar. Lately, the US dollar has been more then the Canadian dollar by a couple of cents, but that can change quickly. Coins found in the early 1800's are considered rare. The odd colonial coin shows up occaisionally from the 1700s.
