Hello!
Her is a report from my first tour with a new garrett 2500GTI. The maskin works well i all met. and disc/zero. The pin-point works not so god. My Whites 6000Di S3 is better in pin-point. A drawback with the 2500 is that it is so heavy. Afther 1-2 hour I have a very loong arm. :tongue3:
Anyway her is the first (Garrettfound)
Sorry my bad English

The pinpoint needs some time before you learn how to use it very well.
I know what you mean with the weight of that thing! I had one at a time..

So anyways what coins did you get?? I can't tell dates or anything. ???

You bought a great machine. It will take some time to properly learn the pinpointing, sizing, ID and their limitations. I have found thousands of coins with both the GTI 1500 and GTI 2500. Too heavy? Don't extend the lower rod to its fullest, and keep the arm close to the body so that the leverage isn't so great to the coil & electronics.

Go have fun....you got a super machine :icon_sunny:

Thanks a lot for advise. I try that.

I bought my first detector in 1982-1984, a coinmaster 2500, sinse I drived a coinmaster 6000Di. The pin-point was easyer on the old one, but mayby I have too learn it one a new way. ::)

Ok. Only read this on a Swedish webside :
CAUTION! The use of metal detectors in Sweden without permission. Permits may be sought from the county authorities. The law is to prevent the looting of antiquities.
Translated on Google  In Norway its all legal. :tongue3:

See it's not forbidden! :)
That sucks that all detecting is legal in Norway and not in Sweden, you only need permission from the land owner in Norway?

I think in Denmark you can freely MD (metal detect) all public beaches, but I'm not sure:

DENMARK

Restrictions

There are a number of historical and archaeological sites where it is totally
forbidden to use a metal detector.

On public land it is the local community that decides whether metal detectors may be used. It is estimated that approximately 50% of the public land is closed to metal detecting.

On public woodland the forest superv isor decides whether or not a metal detector may be used. In most cases permission is not granted.

There is hardly any problem on public beaches as to forbid metal detecting would discriminate against a class of people and, therefore, a child would not be able to use a bucket and spade etc.

Apart from seeking permission of the landowner, no restrictions on private land.
