Haven't been this excited in a while, the DFX gets delivered today!

I don't think I have been this excited since I got married.......actually, I mean divorced !

I ordered the DFX-300 on Friday and it gets delivered today. Of course, the ground is hard as a rock and we are getting 5" of snow tonight, but this will give me a chance to get to know the machine.

Any luck using any other coils with this machine besides the 12" one that comes with it?

Any good suggestions on what program settings to keep on or take off?

I'll post the new items that I find, hopefully soon!

Congrats on the new machine!

I hear good things about the new 10" DD coil by white's.
You will likely want a smaller coil for trashier areas and a bigger one for clean areas.

Good things to do:
Hold detector at waist level after ground balancing etc.
And turning Preamp gain to 4 then pull trigger, is the threshold constant?
If so it is stable. If no, turn down AC sensitivity.
If you can't go over approx 65 on AC sens turn down Preamp gain to 3 OR try Correlate frequency.
Open up disc (accept) to 0-+95 to begin with, as you get used to it open it up more and more.

Turn on:
VCO
Tone ID
AutoTrac offset +1

EU Citzen is a real "Stand up Guy". He helped me out with a program for my DFX just as promised. Never talked to the guy before and he was willing to give me a hand......all the way from Sweden!
