rock spear point found in whale

saw a show on whaling yesterday. In one of the whales taken recently, they found a spearhead they believe to be about 150 yrs old. They don't really know how long humpbacks can live, but they do believe this one was at least 150. wow. what a find!

I've seen shows like that about turtles, with arrow heads and musket balls imbedded in the shells. Amazing that an animal can live so long.

Whalers, what a bunch of throw backs to stone age logic. Honestly do we really need to hunt whales in this day and age?

Let's leave that to the biologists. As long as the hunt is regulated and the species isn't overhunted, it's just like any other hunting or fishing. Conservation, not preservation.
