Are you referring to a hunt site for yourself or for a group outing?
For yourself, go anywhere you want (within legal limits), take some time and learn to pick through the signals getting to know your machine and your tolerance for the hobby. Once you're comfortable with that, then start the research.

What's old in your area? Park? Homesites? Old Fairgrounds?

Once you learn the research tools you can then get into the more obscure, lesser known huntsites that only careful research of your area's history can reveal.
