Question about my first detector.
I've had my detector for a week or so now. I probably have about 2-3 hours of using it. I don't have any previous experience. I have the Ace 250. My question is when I find something and I use the pinpoint feature to the best I know how, should that target be directly at the center of my coil. I have been digging right at the center of the coil when the pinpoint feature is at its highest audible and visual scale point, scanning horizontal and vertical. It seems like I dig and there is nothing there sometimes or I start getting a signal next to the hole that I dug. Any tip, tricks or video would be helpful. Thank you.

Re: Question about my first detector.
With my MXT the target is located in the center of the coil. Maybe you move the target slightly while you're digging?? At any rate, practice, practice, practice. Good luck to you

I concur, practice. And if you can, depending on the area that you are detecting at, dig a larger hole. You'll get the hang of it.

Re: Question about my first detector.
when I pin point with my 250 I don't go so much by sound but watch the visual scale keeping it full scale both directions and in the center of the coil towards the shaft there is a notch thats where your coin should be that seems to work for me good luck.
