I had a chance to try my new freshwater career from a boat. Got a email from my buddy greg heath, - most of u know him as “the mountain man”. Said he was going fishing Saturday on bugs island lake and needed a fishing partner.
Well now, for a freshwater rookie fisherman like myself and never been fishing from a boat for freshwater fish I jumped at the chance, so Saturday I left the house in va beach and sailed to bugs island.
The rest of the story is below. Had a great spin and got to me Mr Samuel, greg’s 7 year old grandson.
We all had a great time----------------caught like 22 fish, bass, stripers and crappy. Got to see a good number of bass also, lake had bass tournament going on and we stopped to watch part of the weight in.
It was a great experience and one I will not forget. Greg is a great relic guy and now I know he is a great fishing guy. Thanks again for the invite. One of us got way to much sun tooooooo
