Although I have never been to Arizona, I can't see why there wouldn't be gold there. There is only one way for you to find out.....

Prospect any and all areas!

I don't know which counties are where in your state, but I found these from a website that lists locations.

Thanks everyone for the great info. Glad to be able to chat with folks who have been in the trenches prospecting instead of just relying on search engines and the sort.

thanks again,

Goldhat, I live in Florida, but was in AZ last year on vacation and checked in to gold hunting there. Lots of places to do it, and lots of old gold and silver mines there. That is one of the things I plan on doing when I retire in a few years, I plan on retiring in that area...........

Sorry I couldn't hellp you more..................

Just make sure your not on someones claim while prospecting. Unless it's yours, it could be dangerous.

"Claim? Claim? he don need no stinkin claim" so we shoot him !heheheh

However, securing permission to play in previous claims cuts down on the demand for rope or ammunition.

excellent advice, often overlooked seamuss.

LOL... We are the Federales, you know, the Mounted Police :icon_pirat:

Don't forget to make sure it's nice piece of boild hemp stretched to eliminate coiling... it's gotta be fast :tongue3:

Gettin' back to the post. If your prospecting in a volcanic area with lava rock etc does that rule out gold?
