Pinpointer pricing in OZ

It seems that Australian importers can set whatever price they like for items.
How would you feel about paying US$215.00 for a Garrett pinpointer? A$235.00. No matter how good they are I won't play their silly game and buy one.
I have ordered a Whites Bullseye II from someone who is more realistic with his prices. Maybe not quite as good, but it will do the job. At the same time I decided to order a new MXT detector. I refuse to deal with unrealistic dealers.
I wonder if Garrett are aware of these antics.

Yeah Rando, but we do not have the same mass marketing as you guys have. They have the market fairly well sewn up here.
Only thing I bought off ebay was a horse round yard. You don't get the same backing as when you buy from a dealer. The last Garrett detector I owned was a Deepseeker back around the 70s/80s. Whites detectors used to be way over the top here once, but we have a different (and excellent) importer now. Prices are very good and the buying power of our dollar keeps improving.
The MXT will be my 3rd Whites.
