:dontknow: I was out today on a hillside of a school and my DFX seemed to chatter like no other. I moved over a bit and again same thing happened. I looked at the ground closer and there seemed to be lots of fertilizer everywhere. Maybe I've been lucky or maybe issues with my machine. Please help.

Nope. Never.

I just have this strange weed that keeps sprouting from my left ear. ::) :D

seriously, sorry. That was stupid.

The only time my machines did that was when I was near a power line or in a spot where farmers would burn off their trash.

I don't know about the DFX but some machines can be affected by the radios in trains and planes. It will cause a chattering.

Probably interference but I have read posts a few times of guys having trouble with something but am pretty sure it was in parks not farm fields. I have hunted different fields for many years and have had many problems making things not being as they should, but it was never fertilizer.

The only problems I have had from fertilizers and herbicides were health problems. Generally I AVOID fields that have been fertilized or sprayed within the past day or two.

it seems the only effect i notice is if it's a old field that that has been fertilized for years the coins seem to be in pretty bad condition. might be due to the fertilizer.

Thanks for the info. I've been out since the hillside issue and I haven't had any issues with my machine. Thanks again...... :hello:
