A licence that allows me to Detect anywere in the UK, I then would have all the ultimate Treasure to find, that I could shake a stick at :laughing9:

Metal detecting is a part of never knowing what you will find. Of course research will help the expectations.
The big find may be the lure: but the close misses keep folks going out.
For some that silver coin is a big find. Some an old bullet from the civil war etc.
If a person does not find a thrill in the near misses, they wont be swinging very long.

Ultimately, I would like to find my mind which I lost many years ago. If any of you find it, I will pay postage plus a small reward.

Up here, I'd like to find a highgrader's forgotten stash. In Oklahoma, the Cave With the Iron Door. My grandma first told me about that one when I was about 6 years old.

Heck, at my age I would just like to find the things I misplaced yesterday :tongue3:

I'm with ya here. I swear I'm going make a shirt outta velcro just so I'll quit forgetting where I leave just about everything I handle during the day.

That's probably the difference between sticking with it and putting the detector in the closet after a week and never using it again.

To me the ultimate thing to find would be someone worth going hunting with.

I got tired of just roaming alone and not having anyone to BS with.

Right now I would like the opportunity to get on a certain property. I have the lead of a lifetime...just need to be able to look for what I believe is there.

Kentuckey Cache: As the godfather would say" make them an offer they can't refuse" These are hard times 50% of a big cache would fit that description. But don't give away location. Tell them you have to look around, but you have the special equipment required.

A lot of people would laugh at you if you told them a story like that. Then you would have "No" for an answer and they would have your secret. But, nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess.
