Anyone know where I can get a decent if inexpensive Jeweler's Loupe? I find as I get older I'm having more and more trouble seeing very small print and detail like the hallmarks on the backs of found jewelry. Even a handheld magnafying glass doesn't help too much. *sigh* I'm not looking for scientific quality here, or something a jeweler would rely on, just something that will make it easier for me to read those small stamps and hallmarks. THanks!

Yep, ebay is a good start.
A 10X triplet loupe is a good choice for viewing jewelry. It is the type of loupe used by professionals to grade diamonds and other gemstones. Anything visible through a more powerful loupe, while interesting, isn't included on a grading report.

Look for a loupe with black framing around the lens, because black eliminates reflections that can alter the color of the object you are viewing. Good luck!

Like Possom says, a coin shop. Or watch the (retail stall) flea markets. A cheap... but suficient... 10X will go for about $5. TTC

If you go Ebay route look for and older German one they seem to have better lenses.
