Our school got a grant to put sidewalks all over town so kids could walk to school. They are scouping up a four foot by four inch path and hauling it off in dump trucks........Called the city and told them I wanted to look through the dirt...they told me to knock myself out...lol.......Here's the problem, drove by and looked where the dirt was hauled. It is in loads about four or five feet high. Too big to spread by hand......would I be wasting my time trying to md the piles?.......knowing where the dirt came from there has to be some old coins in there. Its mounds of dirt and grass.....any ideas? worth trying?

This might be a crazy idea, but here goes; 2 homeless guys + 2 shovels + 2 24 packs of beer when piles are spread out.

it would depend on how much traffic was in the areas where the dirt was removed. if there was quite a bit of traffic, give it a shot.
I think walking up and down the hills would be hard on the back though :help:

I'd say go for it. Even if you can't move or sift the mounds.

I found a barber quarter in a mound this way
