What do I do with Ground balance knob on my Prizm 5G?

I have a Whites Prizm 5G. It has a manual ground Balance knob, but nowhere can I find what to do with it.
All the manuals from Whites are for the old Prizm V I e-mailed Whites and they just said it's for Manually adjusting the Ground balance... Duh!

When should I twist the knob, which way and why? I was up at an old casino site on very mineralized rock, and I tried various settings on the Ground balance, but couldn't tell what it was doing.

How do I manually Ground balance with this thing? Any help would be greatly appreciated ....

That's exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
Is "all metal" mode just all Disc off, or in pin-pointing mode?
(I never heard any noise with discrimination off unless there was metal around.)
