The battery readout on my DFX seems to be acting "erratically". When I turn on the detector, the battery reads at only 6 -7 volts......even after charging. Thought it was just that I needed a new Nicad, So I tried a AA battery pack, and get similar readout, even with brand new batts! I detected about an hour this am and did not get a "lo battery" display? Any ideas?

Clean the connections on the battery pack with an eraser. Also forget about nicads. Frank
