Now if my finds were equal to the status of some of those places I'd be real happy, but many have suffered multiple landscaping and grading reworks. I guess the stuff there in the ground didn't matter much after all.

And that's what burns my behind with some of those "historic" places. The ground has been changed so much the old excuse of "saving it for future generations" becomes a mote point. It doesn't matter to the powers that be to alter anything they darn well please, but let us dig a couple old coins or relics and they want to slap the cuffs on us.

Here in Pa. they're putting gas wells all over the mountains...that we are not allowed to detect on because we might ruin some historic site. And those gas well drillers...you think they care? I got a couple paychecks that say they don't.
