The ad states: Max Detection: 1.5 meters

That equates to 4.9 feet.

Just saying......

not impossable on a large object.

but misleading to those thinking coins and jewelry

• Max Detection: 1.5 meters

This conclusion is elicited by testing a aluminium sheet (60cm*60cm*1cm) buried in dry soil.

Almost 24"X24" sheet of aluminium.

Detector(s) used
Whites Surfmaster PI Pro and Whites Surfmaster PI, Minelab Excal NY blue sword. 2 White's Dual field pi, Garrett sea hunter pi II (but don't use it for obvious reasons) 5' x 3 1/2' coil underwater Pi
Primary Interest:
Shipwrecks
I assume this is a pulse induction detector that can disc. There are some that can, supposedly, (White's TDI, Minelab GP5000, a couple UK PIs) and of course the depth is very much in a PIs range for a big piece of aluminum like that. It does have a medium large coil, which also pushes the depth numbers more.
