I am pretty much a honds on type, however i have no problem asking for advice when i need it, so here goes, what is a good time of year to do mding, is one better than the other?

also my friend is willing to let me dig in the woods across from thier house, that has been thinned out greatly, is there a good way to fix on a starting or ending point? ???

Best time of year for me is early spring before the brush starts growing. Late fall/early winter works as well.

Good time to start MD'ing depends on where you're located geographically and local weather patterns.

As to a good starting and ending point is like asking which end of a shoestring to start in the holes. You didn't provide enough information from which to provide a methodical answer...be more specfic
